I perform outdoor or indoor ceremonies for all genders.
Before the date of your event, I can meet with you in person or by telephone to rehearse your vows and discuss the marriage or civil union ceremony of your choice.
If you are coming by train from out of state, I can meet you at the Stamford, Greenwich, or New Canaan railroad station and escort you to town hall.
1. Vital Statistics
You must apply for a Connecticut license in the town where the ceremony will take place. Both of you must appear (together or separately) before the Registrar of Vital Statistics (town clerk) to provide identification and basic information about yourselves. Application fee is $30, and the license is issued the same day or the next day, depending on the town. Click here for application forms.

2. Vows
Some couples prefer a traditional ceremony while others prefer to write their own vows. I will work with you to prepare the wording which best reflects your special relationship. In my professional life, I teach English to international students, and I can include French, Chinese, or other languages in the ceremony if so desired.
3. Venue
I am authorized to perform marriages and civil unions anywhere in the State of Connecticut, but I am based in Stamford. I can perform your ceremony at Town Hall, on a beach, or at the venue of your choice. If you are coming by train from out of state, I recommend the Stamford Cone, a beautiful and intimate stained-glass structure near the Stamford Transportation Center (Amtrak/Metro-North RR/Greyhound/CT Transit buses).
4. Fee
I offer a competitive rate that depends on your location, number of planning meetings, and complexity of ceremony. Call me to discuss options.
